DUPAGE COUNTY—With February 1 being “Give Kids A Smile Day,” the DuPage County Health Department is offering free dental screenings to children when The Smile Squad mobile dental clinic visits the DuPage Children’s Museum, 301 N. Washington St., Naperville on Friday.
The free dental screenings will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to children, ages 1 to 18. This is a walk-in clinic and no appointments are necessary.
Patients who receive the free services will also receive a coupon (good for one free adult admission with one paid child admission), which can be used on February 1 or a later date. The Health Department has been working with the DuPage Children’s Museum on “Give Kids A Smile Day” every year since 2009.
For information call the Health Department at (630) 682-7400, ext. 7776. The Smile Squad is a state-of-the-art mobile dental clinic that travels throughout DuPage County serving children who need dental services.
In addition to the free dental screenings, the Health Department is also observing “Give Kids A Smile Day” at the Central Public Health Center in Wheaton, where volunteer dentists will be doing restorative work on scheduled children, who were previously seen at schools through the School Sealant Grant Program. This service is by appointment only. Persons with questions on this activity may call (630) 682-7400, ext. 7337.
“Give Kids A Smile Day” is sponsored nationwide by the American Dental Association.
