Watching President Obama’s news conference as he talked to White House reporters was more like watching a lecture. He stated he will not negotiate with Republicans about the debt ceiling. He throws the term “trillion” dollars like it’s chump change.
The American people are hurting with the unemployment rate still teetering at 7.8 percent. Just hope his trip to Hawaii was worth the $4 million spent from the hardworking taxpayers.
He stated that the consequences of not paying our bills would be disastrous. Yes, that’s correct Mr. President, as if we don’t pay our personal bills, we may lose our homes, our cars, and our lights and gas would be shut off. He stated an analogy of going out to dinner and eating all you want without paying the bill. He said “that would be against the law.” He wants to have a discussion with Congress to frequent a more modest restaurant. The moral of that story is, if you can’t pay the bill, you don’t go out to eat!
We do not need to raise the debt ceiling — we need to cut the spending. If there is a limit on a credit card, and that bill is not being paid, would Visa/MasterCard raise your spending limit? It’s pretty simple math, President Obama, so stop your bullying and blame with remarks like “we don’t want to hold a gun at the head of the American people.”
