On the occasion of this year's presidential inauguration, I am pleased that I live in a country whose people understand that sovereignty ultimately belongs to them, and that their leaders have been entrusted with authority over them.
It reminds me of a saying of the Prophet Muhammad: "An office of authority is a trust." Our leaders can fulfill this trust by adhering to the principles of justice in all of their dealings and by following the same moral standards which apply to individuals in the society.
With this in mind, I wish President Obama much success in his second term. I hope that he and other leaders throughout our country fulfill the trust of authority which has been given to them.
In this way, we can make great progress toward achieving peace in our society.
