Are you a whiner or a winner?
“Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.”

God has deposited deep within our spirit, the desire to be a winner in life. However, when difficulties arise we find our winning attitude can develop into a whining attitude.
Oftentimes, when the winds of hardship blow, threatening our well-being, we are inclined to whine and get discouraged.
Nurturing that mentality lowers our self-esteem and takes us deeper into the pit of discouragement. We like to confess that things are just too hard and we’d rather give up, or have someone else take over.
There are times in life when great difficulties arise. We’ve all experienced them. During those times we may need to discuss an issue with a friend or others that we know can console us or give us wise advice.
There is even a time to voice a legitimate complaint about something, but not to become a chronic complainer.
God informs us that as believers things are not too difficult for us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to strengthen and empower us. The Holy Spirit is described in John 14:16 as our “Helper, Counselor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby.”
God sent us this help because he knew we would have tough times to get through. But with the help of God we are enabled to get through the tough places in life. He enables us to go from whiner to winner. He makes winning in life something that is not beyond our reach.
