The recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut has resurrected the often contentious subject of gun control. I certainly don't pretend to have all the answers. But as a Christian, a grandfather, a pediatrician and an American citizen, I wish to speak firmly on the side of stricter gun control, especially as it pertains to the weapons used in recent crimes of mass destruction. The old folk song asked the question, "How many deaths will it take till they know that too many people have died?" The answer is no longer "blowing in the wind." We've far surpassed it.
