Lombard trustee touches up incomplete mural of historic sites

Lombard Trustee Laura Fitzpatrick noticed a mural of historic sites hung atop the front desk at Lombard village hall is incomplete. She is working to finish the painting so it can be hung again after renovations planned for the front desk are completed.

Images of historic buildings in Lombard have greeted visitors to village hall from a large mural atop the front desk for about the past six years. The only problem is the mural is incomplete. “To me as an artist, it’s kind of like a rough sketch I have that’s not really been painted quite completely,” said Trustee Laura Fitzpatrick, who is working to finish the painting.
