Bob Albrecht's unfinished basement in Palatine holds his collection of six classic Oldsmobiles.

Albrecht's 1955 Super 88 in Crest Blue and Ivory White was purchased in 2008 from a seller on the East Coast.

This Alder Green 1952 Olds is like one Albrecht's brother owned, and which Albrecht drove when he was learning to drive.

Albrecht has been keeping his cars stored in the basement for about five years.

This 1950 88 is nearly identical to Albrecht's first Oldsmobile. He used a modern Toyota color to match the original Surge Blue paint.

A 1950 98 convertible came from Fond du Lac, Wis., and was the top of the line model for the year.
