Dist. 76 considers holiday class

The Diamond Lake Elementary District 76 school board will hold a hearing at 7 p.m. Feb. 5 to take testimony from educators and parents regarding the proposal to hold classes on Lincoln's Birthday (Feb. 12) and Casimir Pulaski's birthday (March 4). The persons honored by these holidays will be recognized through instructional activities conducted on those days, according to the district. The meeting is at West Oak Middle School, 500 Acorn Lane, Mundelein.
