Woman's club donates fashion show proceeds

The Naperville Woman's Club has donated proceeds from its annual fashion show to its 2012-2013 “focus charity,” Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville. Laura Milligan, Executive Director of EAC, accepted the donation of $7,500.

The presentation was made at the club's January meeting at its landmark clubhouse, The Old Stone Church, at 14. S. Washington.

“The presentation of our fashion show proceeds to our focus charity is an important tradition for the Naperville Woman's Club, and we are pleased to make that donation this year to an organization that provides such an important service to Naperville's elderly and their families and caregivers,” said Bonnie Olson, Co-chair of the club's Public Issues Committee.

In addition to making a monetary donation, the Woman's Club is also sponsoring drives to collect game prizes and paper goods for EAC.

The Naperville Woman's Club is a philanthropic organization devoted to supporting the arts, education and community service. Established in 1897, it is one of the longest established organizations in Naperville.
