In an effort to raise money for underserved youth in the Palatine community, a wine tasting fundraiser will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 at The Wine Cellar, 361 W. Northwest Highway in Palatine.

Tickets are $20 per person age 21 and older for tastings and appetizers. There will also be raffles at the event. All proceeds from the fundraiser and 10 percent of the store's sales will be donated to ICompete youth programs, which include an after-school club, summer athletic clinics, special events, swim program, teen nights, summer camp, the Pirate Passport program and more.
