Self-defense class for women:
The Mundelein Police Department is hosting a free class for women 18 and older who are interested in learning self-defense tactics. Women who are 17 years old will be allowed to attend with parental permission. The class will be on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m., Feb. 12 through March 5, at the Mundelein Police Department, 221 North Lake St. Students should wear loose fitting workout clothes. The class requires some physical activity. Space is limited to 30 participants. Call (847) 968-3770 to register. For class information, call Officers Messina, Smith, or Whittaker at (847) 968-4600.
