New exhibit at LEGOLAND Discovery Center open for public vote

By

Expert model builders at LEGOLANDŽ Discovery Center Chicago are gearing up to build a new interactive LEGOŽ exhibit, and they need your help designing it.

Now through Jan. 16, members of the public can cast a vote for their favorite LEGO theme. The theme receiving the most votes will be developed into a large-scale, interactive LEGO experience, which will be on display at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago beginning in spring 2013.

“Our goal is to create something that local LEGO fans are really going to appreciate,” said Andrew Johnson, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago's Master Model Builder. “We want people to come out to the Center, enjoy this exhibit and know that they had a hand in creating it.”

Voting is open to the public at www.LEGOLANDDiscoveryCenter.com/Chicago and in-person at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago, 601 N. Martingale Rd. in Schaumburg. Possible themes include:

- LEGOŽ Star Wars TM

- LEGOŽ City

- LEGOŽ Hero Factory

- LEGOŽ Racers

- LEGOŽ Technic

LEGO fans who cast a vote will automatically enter to win tickets to a special red carpet premiere of the completed exhibit.

“Every great LEGO creation starts with a great idea,” said Johnson. “We're looking to the public to help inspire that idea.”
