Free art workshops at Crabtree Nature Center

Artist Kimberly Butts recently kicked off a year of free monthly art workshops at Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington Hills showing participants taught how to create art using natural wool fibers.

“I made an ornament and owl picture. Kimberly made it so easy that it was really fun,” said Madeline Collins who attended a workshop.

The next event is “Painting with Watercolors” on Jan. 12.

Kimberly Butts will return to Crabtree on Feb. 16, to teach “Artist Trading Cards,” that are miniature art works that are traded throughout the world.

All workshops are taught by volunteer artists and supported by the Barrington Cultural Arts Center. Call to reserve your spot at (847) 381-6592.
