Lake County needs outpatient care

I am in opposition of opening another hospital in Lake County.

The Affordable Care Act is pushing more and more health care services to the outpatient setting, taking away the need for more inpatient beds.

The inpatient bed occupancy rates have declined by 1.3 percent since 2010 and will continue to decline. We do not need another inpatient hospital in Lake County.

We need access to outpatient care, especially for our indigent population.
