Hanover Township accepting nominations for community service awards

Nominations for the 2013 “Hanover Township Supervisor’s Annual Community Service Awards” program are now being accepted. Recipients are selected by a committee of volunteers from the community. The categories include: Adult Volunteer (18 or older) Service Award; Business Community Service Award; Mel Runzel Award; Youth (younger than 18) Volunteer Service Award; Senior Volunteer Service Award; Service Club/Organization; and Supervisor’s Choice. Candidates will be judged on three qualities: leadership, commitment and impact. One recipient from each of the six categories will be selected and honored at a banquet in April. A nomination form can be downloaded at hanover-township.org or picked up at the township office, 250 S. IL Route 59 in Bartlett. Nominations must be received by Jan. 25.
