A used book sale is set for 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. Also on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the North Central O Gaugers Model Railroad club will run their trains, which is free and open to children of all ages. Proceeds from the book sales are donated back to the library to be used to buy equipment, materials, programs and training. More than 7,000 items, including books, books on tape, books on CD, videos, DVDs, paperbacks and CDs are available. Call (847) 918-3247.
