St. Charles Noon Kiwanis gives highest award to past president Joe Cucci

The St. Charles Noon Kiwanis recently presented past president Joe Cucci with the highest Kiwanis Award to an individual for 2012.

The Hixson Award was bestowed upon Joe Cucci. Past Hixson Award recipient Joe Boyd presented the award along with the lengthy list of contributions Cucci has given. A member since 2001, Cucci has served as president, Division 10 Lt. Governor, chairman for the Bowlathon for Spastic Paralysis, chairman of Northern Illinois Food Bank volunteers, chairman of the River North Clean-Up project, chairman of Kiwanis One Day Service. He also has served on the board of directors and served in countless activities including Rose Day, Peanut Days, Golf Committee, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Fox Valley Special Recreation Association's Day in the Park volunteer and many more activities too numerous to list.

The St. Charles Noon Kiwanis Club is proud to have Joe Cucci as a member and welcomes him to the Hixson Award winners.

The club currently has 84 members from the St. Charles community working on this commitment to children. The meetings are held every Tuesday at noon at the PNC Bank, 2600 E. Main St., St. Charles. For details, call Lori Linkimer at (630) 841-3278.
