Bartlett hosts annual blood drive

The Village of Bartlett is hosting its annual blood drive from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, in the Heartland Blood Centers mobile coach vehicle, which will be parked in the village hall parking lot, 228 S. Main St. Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment by visiting www.heartlandbc.org and clicking on the “New Donor Portal and Online Scheduling System” link located on the right side of the webpage, or by calling Janet Maher at (630) 723-2565. Walk-in appointments are also available to donors who are not able to schedule an appointment in advance. Potential blood donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be symptom-free of cold, flu and allergies and be in general good health. The donation process takes about an hour from start to finish, which includes a registration, a health history survey, a blood pressure and an iron level check.
