New trustee appointed to Lisle board

A Lisle village board candidate has been appointed to finish the term of former Trustee Joe Schmitt, who died earlier this month.

Brad Hettich will be sworn in as trustee during the Jan. 7 board meeting and serve through April. He will be running in the April election for a full 4-year term beginning in May, officials said in a statement.

Hettich is president of Hettich Financing Solutions, Inc. dba Commercial Lending X, a Naperville-based business providing financial consultation and lending solutions to a variety of businesses. Prior to that, he was the vice president and branch manager of the Old Second Bank in Lisle and vice president with Hinsdale Bank & Trust Co.

Hettich, who has lived in Lisle since 2008, is active in numerous community organizations, including the Lisle Rotary Club, the Eyes to the Skies Festival Committee, the Scarecrow Scramble Committee and Junior Achievement. He was the chairmen of the Lisle Area Chamber's Government Affairs Committee, served on the Ogden Avenue Corridor Master Plan Commission and is a current member of the Lisle Planning and Zoning Commission.
