Holiday book drive aids Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley

Submitted by Barnes & Noble Booksellers

Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Geneva Commons has named Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley the recipient of its holiday book drive.

From now to the end of December, Barnes & Noble customers will have an opportunity to donate children’s books and games when they check out.

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will distribute the books to their adult students so they can give them to their children during the holidays. Volunteer tutors often use this opportunity to help parents learn to read books to their children, thus instilling an early love of reading.

Last year, Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley was also able to distribute books to Lazarus House, Batavia Apartments, The Salvation Army, Batavia Access, and IYC Youth Center thanks to Barnes & Noble customers.
