Lombard's Public Works announces opening of Finley Road

LOMBARD, Illinois— The Village of Lombard's Public Works Department announced the anticipated opening of Finley Road will be Friday, December 21, 2012.

The construction zone, between Charles Lane and Wilson, has been restricted to southbound traffic with additional detours since the previous summer. Beginning Friday, both northbound and southbound traffic will be permitted, and all intersections with the area open to traffic as well.

During the following weeks, there may be spot closures with the work zone as the contractor finishes inspecting and cleaning all utility structures. The Public Works Department asks that all residents and motorists be aware of the possibility of these temporary closures and the presence of construction personnel and equipment within the area.
