Hurricane harangue was disaster bigotry

I am certain you will receive many letters about John R. Beeson’s Fence Post harangue regarding hurricane aid. Insurance certainly does help hurricane victims; however, the huge scope of the devastation from a hurricane is daunting.

You do not have to take care of anyone if you so choose. Be the grinch you are, Mr. Beeson, when asked for donations. You will make a volunteer’s day.

I did get a laugh at the characterization of “lazy, irresponsible, financially dependent hurricane victims” compared to the independent tornado victims.

Bigotry indeed!
