Victim of Arlington Heights fire identified

Blaze broke out early Thursday in downtown apartment building

The Arlington Heights Fire Department responded to an early morning fire Thursday at the Hancock Square building on the 200 block of North Dunton Avenue. A 36-year-old female resident died in the fire, authorities said.

Fire broke out in a downtown Arlington Heights apartment building early Thursday morning, killing one resident, injuring rescuers and forcing other tenants to temporarily evacuate. The victim was identified by the Cook County medical examiner's office as Iesha Bailey, 36. The fire started shortly before 4 a.m. on the fourth floor of the Hancock Square apartment building on the 200 block of North Dunton Avenue.
