Golf Course Guests and Staff raise $3,000 for Needy Families in Hoffman Estates

Guests and staff of Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates raised nearly $3,000 to purchase Christmas gifts for 8 needy families this season, an increase from $1,870 in 2011. The staff at Bridges will do all the shopping, wrapping and also deliver the gifts. The money was raised at the annual Make A Holiday Wish Come True Golf Outing on November 18 when golfers from throughout the area played their final rounds of golf for the season on the Bridges' newly renovated golf course, and raised money for the cause.

"Everyone had a great time at the golf outing raising money for a really worthy cause," said Brian Bechtold, General Manager at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. "Our staff really enjoy shopping for the gifts and wrapping them; we hope that we’ve brightened the holiday season for these families.”

Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club is a championship 18 hole golf course open to the public. For more information on Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club, visit bridgesofpoplarcreek.com.
