Community carol singalong at First Congregational

The fifth annual “Joy to the World” community Christmas carol singalong at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at First Congregational Church of Elgin, 256 E. Chicago St.

There will be a freewill offering at the door for either the Community Crisis Center or the First Congregational Church Renovation Fund.

All participants receive a song book and are encouraged to sing along with a band and song leaders. Traditional holiday carols and festive secular songs are included in the song list. Children are welcome. This is a casual affair that allows everyone to participate in the music of the season. After the concert, cookies and warm drinks will be served in the fellowship hall.
