Uncontested race set for Barrington Township

Barrington Township Republicans held a caucus Tuesday night to select candidates for what will be an uncontested election for the township’s offices April 9. There was no Democratic caucus and there will be no Democratic candidates. The Republican slate will be largely comprised of the existing officials, including Gene Dawson for supervisor, Amy Pyott Nykaza for assessor, and Ronald F. Szymanski, Daniel P. Fitzgerald and Robert A. Nykaza Jr. for trustee. The only newcomers on the slate are Trudy Barrie for clerk and Robert Collins for trustee.
