Bid online on government surplus vehicles, outdoor gear

McHenry County Conservation District is conducting two separate online auctions that are open for bidding now through Monday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

The first is a police auction that includes: bicycles, an ATV, kayak, tent, and duck decoys. Interested persons can view and place a bid at http://bit.ly/TZAF2s

The second auction includes surplus municipal vehicles. Highlights of the auction include: 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4WD; 2003 Ford F-350 Super Cab 4WD; 2000 GMC Sierra K2500 AWD; 2000 GMC Sierra K3500, Crew Cab 4WD; 2001 Ford F-350 Super Duty, Dump Truck 4WD; 1998 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab 4WD; 1997 Ford F-350 Crew Cab; 1997 Ford F-250 4WD; Toro Z Master 60-inch Zero Turn Mower; Steel Pipe Gates. Interested persons can view and place a bid at http://bit.ly/WsinJs

From time to time the conservation district will make use of auction services to recoup some money from surplus equipment that can range anywhere from vehicles and tractors to chain saws and audiovisual equipment. This is the eighth such auction the McHenry County Conservation District has offered generating more than $80,000 for the district.
