About this Article

Mac's on Slade is new bar in Palatine with a familiar face on the door. Mac Rietz, a favorite bartender from the now-razed The Office, opened his eponymous place in September. A musician in his own rights, Rietz welcomes local bands to set up Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A come-as-you-are vibe and good food have been attracting quite a crowd to this downtown spot.
