Palatine Historical Society hosts Christmas Open House

The Palatine Historical Society will host its annual Christmas Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Clayson House, 224 E. Palatine Road, Palatine.

The free event will feature characters from “A Christmas Carol” to commemorate the 200th birthday of author Charles Dickens, as well as music and refreshments.

The house, built in 1873 and opened to the public in 1979, also will be decorated to reflect a Victorian-era holiday.

The exhibit can be viewed through Sunday, Jan. 6.
