Kalamazoo goaltender rejoins Chicago Wolves

The Vancouver Canucks have reassigned goaltender Joe Cannata from the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings to their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

Cannata has posted a 2-3-0 record with a 3.62 goals-against average and .892 save percentage in five games with Kalamazoo this season. The 22-year-old appeared in one game with the Wolves last season, helping the team to a 4-2 win over Peoria on April 15, 2012.

Cannata, a native of Wakefield, Mass., his senior season at Merrimack College (Hockey East) last year, posting a 17-12-7 record, and career-bests 2.18 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 36 contests.
