Lindenhurst Police Department Hosts its11th Annual 'Shop with a Cop' program

By

Police officers from Lindenhurst, Deerfield, Grayslake, Lake County Forest Preserve, Lake County Sheriff's Department, Lake Villa and Northfield will be volunteering and shopping with local children at the Round Lake Beach Wal-Mart. The program's purpose is to give children some holiday cheer they might not otherwise have without this program. Historically, the LPD has hosted about 25 children and their parents to a pizza party, followed by holiday shopping at a local Wal-Mart. Each child will be shopping with a police officer and then they return to LPD to have their gifts wrapped. Businesses and residents wishing to donate to the program can mail checks to: 'Shop with a Cop' c/o Lindenhurst Police Department, 2300 E. Grand Avenue, Lindenhurst, IL 60046.

LPD would like to thank the generous businesses and residents who have contributed to and supported this program. We could not host this program year after year without your support. Special thanks go to the Lindenhurst Village Hall staff, the Lindenhurst Police Explorers, the Lake Villa Fire Department, Lindenhurst Early Childhood Center and of course, Santa!!
