Petitions available in N. Aurora for April election

The North Aurora Village Clerk’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, through 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, for the purpose of accepting petitions for the 2013 Consolidated election or a primary election, if required, on Feb. 26, for the offices of village president, village clerk, and three village trustees.

The office will be closed Nov. 22-23 for Thanksgiving.

The dates and times that the village hall will be open to accept the nominating petitions follow: First day to file: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20; and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21. The last day to file will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26.

Petitions should be filed at the North Aurora village hall, 25 E. State St., North Aurora. A lottery will be held for all simultaneous filings that are filed at 8 a.m. on the first filing day.
