Lake Zurich-Glenbard West game moved to Glenbard South
The IHSA Class 7A semifinal football game between Glenbard West and Lake Zurich High School, scheduled to be played at Glenbard West on Saturday, has been moved to another site because of field conditions.
The game will now be played at Glenbard South High School at 1 p.m. Saturday. Glenbard South is located at 23W200 Butterfield Road in Glen Ellyn, just west of Route 53 on Butterfield (Route 56).
Severe storms before last week’s IHSA quarterfinal game at Glenbard West against Wheaton North and freezing temperatures this week made the field difficult to prepare.
“I want to commend the coaching staffs and administrations at both schools for working together on this matter and reaching a decision that was best for their student-athletes,” said Craig Anderson, IHSA assistant executive director and football administrator.
