9th annual Palatine Food Drive nears conclusion

The 9th annual Palatine Food Drive is in full swing with just over a week remaining until the conclusion. Palatine area residents and businesses are asked to help contribute to the effort to restock the shelves at the Palatine Township Food Pantry. The community wide food drive runs through November 20th this year, with eighteen drop off locations throughout Palatine. The drive is hosted and run by Lavelle Law Charities.

“We want to remind everyone about the importance of the Palatine Food Drive,” said coordinator Heather Slipkevych of Lavelle law, Ltd. The drive collects non-perishable food items along with diapers and formula to be delivered to the Palatine Township Food pantry which expects to serve well over 300 families this month. “It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just about a week away. As it approaches, we're hoping that Palatine residents remember those less fortunate right here in our community and take time to make a donation.”
