text size: AAA
By Daily Herald report

A community recycling event will be held at Belvidere Park in Waukegan on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, sponsored by the Waukegan Park District and the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO), enables residents to drop off for recycling the following electronics: CRT monitors, computer towers and laptops, small household appliances, telephones, cellphones, ink cartridges, printers, television, stereos, VCRs and DVD Players. Other items to be collected include: holiday lights, eyeglasses, athletic shoes and household batteries. Waukegan residents are encouraged to take advantage of this convenient way to recycle these items since they are not allowed in the regular curbside pickups.
