West Chicago Historical Society Annual Meeting to Feature Presentation on Local Connection to the War of 1812

West Chicago, Illinois: November 6, 2012 - The public is invited to attend the West Chicago Historical Society's Annual Meeting, on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wayne and Helen Fox Community Center, located at 306 Main Street in downtown West Chicago.

The meeting will feature a program titled They Did Their Duty which will be presented by Cheryl Waterman. Waterman will share her research and stories of the four War of 1812 veterans buried in West Chicago's Oakwood Cemetery. Those attending will learn about the lives of Daniel Benjamin, James Snyder, Daniel Wilson and Daniel Wood, who served our country before traveling to West Chicago.

Light refreshments will be served.
