Two men stabbed in Batavia

Batavia police are speaking to a person of interest connected with a stabbing that happened early Sunday morning, but no charges had been filed as of Sunday night, police said.

Batavia Police responded to a residence on the 0 to 100 block of North VanNortwick Street at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday and found two male victims, ages 19 and 34, who had both suffered from multiple stab wounds, according to a release.

Both victims were conscious when police arrived and were taken to a hospital.

Police said on Sunday that they were talking to a person of interest, but no charges had been filed by Sunday night. The investigation is continuing.

The stabbing was believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no danger to the public, according to police.
