Hit-and-run no way to show welcome
I would like to offer a sarcastic thank you to the young woman in a gray Toyota who welcomed me to Illinois by rear-ending my car and driving away in Mundelein on the afternoon of Oct. 18. Thankfully my passenger and I were unhurt. I had just come from transferring my New York driver's license in Libertyville when I was hit on Townline Road. I moved to Illinois two weeks ago in the hopes of getting a new start after being unemployed for some time in New York. Now I'm faced with having to pay for the repairs. This lack of morals and ethics in the beautiful suburbs of Illinois is disappointing.
