The Fashion program at College of DuPage will offer a $5,000 scholarship this spring, thanks to a $25,000 gift from the Fashion Group International of Chicago foundation.
Applications must be submitted at the time students submit their designs for the College's spring fashion show.
The gift, announced earlier this year, provides the College's Fashion program $25,000, enabling the College to award merit- and need-based scholarships to students over the next five years.
To be eligible, students must participate in the Fashion program's spring jury show, entering a minimum of three original design garments; have a 3.2 GPA with completion of 6 to 32 credit hours; and submit an essay stating their professional goals.
The winner will be named at the College's annual fashion show in April 2013.
