Aurora police seeking teen missing since June

Aurora police are asking for public help locating a 17-year-old girl with a history of running away who has been missing since June.

Maria Sanchez of the 100 block of North Kendall Street has been missing since June 11 and police believe she may be somewhere in Chicago. Family members told police Maria was supposed to attend a summer driving class at East Aurora High School June 11 but never showed up and has not been heard from since.

Maria is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora detectives at (630) 256-5500 or local law enforcement.
