In response to the letter “DuPage clerk article was not balanced” published on Oct. 27, I spoke with DuPage court clerk candidate Ralph Scalise and asked him to set the record straight.
He told me that he does have a pension he earned as a fireman and that he would not take a second pension from the county even if he worked there the requisite 10 years needed to qualify for one.
He also told me that he would not take a pay increase unless the employees of the department also had a pay increase by the same percent. If you want to know more about something you read about a local candidate, feel free to contact them as I did.
