Alese Campbell, the executive director of the GLMV Chamber of Commerce, is out after just two years on the job.
Campbell is leaving the business group to join Shaw Media as the general manager of the company's Lake County office, she told chamber members in an email Wednesday.
The chamber is comprised of businesses in Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills.
Campbell called leading the group an honor.
"Over the past two years, we have worked together to improve the prosperity of the (communities) and built long-term connections," she said in the email.
Before coming to the chamber, Campbell had been a client service manager at RSM McGladrey Inc., a Chicago auditing and accounting firm.
The chamber has gone through several executive directors in recent years.
A transition plan will be developed, Campbell said in the email.
