Since joining forces in the late 1970s, Jay and Molly have become one of the most celebrated duos on the American acoustic music scene. With their sense of fun and love of music, they make each concert a musical journey.
Jay’s most famous composition, “Ashokan Farewell,” the theme music for Ken Burns’ The Civil War PBS series, earned international acclaim. The soundtrack won a Grammy and “Ashokan Farewell” — originally inspired by Jay and Molly’s annual fiddle and dance camps — was nominated for an Emmy.
Jay and Molly’s repertoire includes timeless renditions of hard-driving Appalachian, Cajun and Celtic fiddle tunes, Civil War classics, songs from the golden age of swing and country, waltzes, and original compositions.Copyright © 2013 Paddock Publications, Inc. All rights reserved.
