'Explore Engineering' Open House at COD Nov. 7

The College of DuPage Engineering Club will hold the “Explore Engineering” open house from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, on the main campus in Glen Ellyn, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This free event, intended for high school juniors and seniors and college freshman, will allow participants to explore a variety of careers, including bioengineering, civil/structural engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.

During the event, representatives from such prestigious engineering schools as Illinois Institute of Technology, Northern Illinois University, Northwestern University, University of Illinois at Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will be on hand to speak with students.

Following opening remarks at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, several presentations will occur simultaneously every half hour from 7 to 9 p.m. throughout the Berg Instructional Center. Refreshments will be available from 9 to 9:30 p.m. along with an opportunity to meet with university representatives.
