Community Partners to present annual art exhibit

Community Partners’ fourth annual art exhibit, in partnership with the Lakeside Legacy Foundation, will present “First Friday” opening reception from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park in the historic Dole Mansion, 401 Country Club Road in Crystal Lake.

Community Partners is a McHenry County partnership of individuals, service provider agencies, and county government departments working together to reduce stigma and raise consciousness and understanding of mental illness.

The artwork in the Community Partners exhibit is created by individuals who have a relationship with, receive, or have received services from agencies affiliated with Community Partners.

The exhibit will be on display through November. For information about “First Fridays” and the Legacy Arts Park, visit www.lakesidelegacy.org.

The Nov. 2 First Friday also features live performances by Marti Boone and Together Again, along with guitarist Joseph Broman.

Lakeside’s Culinary Studio will be open and patrons can participate in culinary demonstrations by Confetti Gourmet Academy. Learn about upcoming culinary classes at Lakeside.

Lakeside will present Roger Reupert & Friends Interactive Jazz Performance at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. Advance tickets are $10 or $15 at the door. Contact Lakeside Legacy for information.
