Hanover Township tutoring program to begin

Is your child struggling or falling behind in their learning? The Hanover Township tutoring program may be able to help.

Every parent wants the best education for their children. With today’s busy schedules, homework is increasingly becoming overwhelming and parents are finding it difficult to help their children with their school work.

Certified primary and secondary education teachers who specialize in assisting students with homework comprehension and completion will work with small groups of students based on age, subject matter, and learning needs identified by referring teachers.

Students, who attend regularly and bring their school materials/assignments to each session improve in academic performance and become more self-confident. Parents also have the option of attending a free seminar that will offer useful tips and skills to use at home that will help your child or teen succeed.

For a tutoring application, visit www.hanover-township.org and click “Youth and Family Services” under the “Department” tab. Tutoring is offered Tuesday or Thursday evenings at the Streamwood High School Sabre Center at 701 W. Schaumburg Road in Streamwood.

English as a Second Language/Spanish Tutoring Services for elementary students is offered at the Hanover Township Community Relations Office, One American Way, Elgin. The fee is $45 per child, per semester; a payment plan is available.
