The Oasis was conceived in 2003 and opened in April 2008 to provide the teenagers of Grayslake and surrounding communities a safe and stimulating place to go after school and on weekends. To achieve that goal, The Oasis opens Monday – Saturday at 3:00pm; and remains open Monday – Thursday until 9:00pm and Friday and Saturday until 11:00pm.
Within The Oasis, guests find a friendly and clean environment designed just for them. The minimum age for admittance is 12 years old, as we do not monitor the comings and goings of the guests. The Oasis is stocked with video games, high speed wireless internet, flat screen TVs (with movies available to watch) and basic snacks. There is no charge during the week, and a $5 donation is requested on Friday and Saturday. Most weekend evenings, we feature live entertainment with a wide variety of local and regional bands. All language and behavior is required to be appropriate for all ages.
