Paw Law Dog Training and Daycare in Hanover Park

Exciting News from Paw Law Dog Training and Daycare in Hanover Park, Illinois!

Paw Law is proud to announce that 2 of its very own dogs have been invited to the 2012

DockDogs® World Championship competition to be held in Dubuque, Iowa, November 15 to 18, 2012.

Dock diving is a sport for dogs who love to swim where dogs run down a 40' dock and jump into a 40' pool.

Dogs are judged in three areas – how far they jump (Big Air), how high they jump (Extreme Vertical) and how fast they swim (Speed Retrieve). The limited number of invitations to this World Championship competition are based on a dog's performance throughout the year and dogs from all over the world will be going to Dubuque to compete.

Jan Hicks, owner of Paw Law, just received the invitations for her 6½ year old yellow Labrador Retriever, Finnegan and her 12½ year old Border Collie, Maggie, to compete in this prestigious event.

In the past, only the best of the best were invited with no thought being given to the fact that as a dog really ages its dock diving scores will drop.

This is the first year that DockDogs is inviting what they call Legend Dogs (dogs 10 years or older that are still competing) to participate. Jan is proud that this is Finnegan's 3rd consecutive year of being invited to the World Championships; she calls Finn her lean, mean dock diving machine. However, to say that she is ecstatic that her 32lb, senior citizen dog, Maggie has been one of the Legend Dogs selected to attend this competition is an understatement.

Paw Law offers dock diving training as well as training for many other dog sports, puppy and basic obedience classes.
