DuPage County Prosecutor Mary Cronin recently was honored with the Outstanding Assistant State's Attorney Award by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists, or AAIM.

The organization cited her "outstanding dedication" to victims of drunken driving crashes.

"I am extremely proud of Mary for her ongoing efforts on behalf of the victims of intoxicated motorists," State's Attorney Bob Berlin said. "She is a tireless advocate for these victims and continuously goes the extra mile to ensure that justice is done on their behalf."

Cronin received the award Saturday at AAIM's annual fundraiser in Addison. Proceeds support an assistance fund for crash victims.
