Bartlett/Streamwood High School children's Halloween concert

The combined orchestras of Bartlett High School and Streamwood High School will present family Halloween Concerts on Monday, Oct. 29 and Tuesday, Oct. 30 starting at 6:45 p.m.

The program will appeal to an audience of all ages, although on Monday, the primary focus will be on children from ages 3 to 8 years old, and on Tuesday 8 years and older.

The program will offer a wide variety of musical selections, some of which will include works from the classical literature like Saint-Saens' “Danse Macabre” and Dukas' “Sorcerer's Apprentice”, other selections will be themed with Halloween in mind and include the “March of the Shadows” and “Legend of the Phantom Pirates”.

Finally the evening will be rounded out with treasured songs from Disney's Classic movies such as “The Little Mermaid”, “The Lion King”, and “Pirates of the Caribbean”.

The audience is invited to attend dressed in Halloween costumes. At the end of the evening, young audience members will parade around the auditorium and receive a “Trick or Treat” snack.

The concert will be held at Bartlett High School, 701 W. Schick Road in Bartlett. Tickets will be available at the door and cost $10 per family
